Today is the 1st day of CNY, the Year of Tiger. As usual, after Mummy has changed me into my new clothes, I took 2 oranges and 恭喜 with my Daddy and Mummy and was given a big angpao. We also went to KongKong & PoPo's house to 拜年 followed by YeaYea & NaiNai's.

At about late afternoon, we headed back to KongKong & PoPo's house for another round of 团员饭.

I Can Spell

Now I know how to spell a few words that Mummy has taught me. Items that start with A to F, e.g. apple, boy, cat, dog, egg and fish. Whenever Mummy test me with spelling and if I spell it correctly, I will be reward with a sweet or Yakult.

Diaperless

After training for the past 1 month, I can go to toilet myself or tell Daddy or Mummy that I need to go toilet. I also diaperless during my afternoon nap, only wearing diaper at night before my bedtime. I have helped Daddy & Mummy save lots of money. Next, I will face a more challenging task. Mummy will train me to go diaperless during my bedtime. Hmmm, hopefully I will succeed and will not fuss when Mummy wakes me up for toilet-time.

Missed School For A Week

Oh no, I have missed school for a week. I'm down with coughing, running nose and fever since last Tuesday. Although I have recovered my fever and flu, but there's still have phlegm when I coughed. Each time when I coughed, it will lead to vomiting. Last Friday, again Daddy brought me to see Dr Vanessa Tan and it's my 2nd visit for that week. Oh, how I missed my teachers and friends and keep asking Mummy when can I goes back to school.

After taking antibiotics for 3 days, I'm feeling better. And tomorrow, I'm going back to school again.

1st Day of School

Today is my 1st day of school. Daddy & Mummy took a day off to accompany me to school. As Mummy has told me last night before my bedtime that I'm going to school this morning, I quickly woke up after Mummy wakes me up at 7.25am. After 10mins, I've changed into the school uniform, I'm ready to go to school. While on our way to school, I'm kept telling JieJie Flor: "Shernise is happy, Shernise's going to school."

When we reached the school, we was directed to my classroom. I was shown where to put my water bottle and school bag. I also have a seat which has been allocated for me with my name printed on the table. After the short briefing, the children were brought to the toilet and the next half an hour was outdoor playtime. As Mummy needs to run some errands, she left the school after one and half hour. When Mummy told me that she needs to leave, I kissed and waved good bye to her, totally couldn't be bothered about her disappearance. Daddy was around with me but he hide himself at the corner of the classroom.

After the dismissal, I will be taking school bus to PoPo's house. Although Daddy was around with me, he still prefer that I take the school bus and he will followed behind until I reached PoPo's house.

Although I'm super tired after the class, I'm still enjoyed going to school. When Mummy asked me: "Do you want to go to school tomorrow?", I'm quickly nodded my head and said a loud YES.

Celebrating JieJie Megan's 5th Birthday

It was JieJie Megan's 5th birthday and we are invited to her party which was held at the condo function room. Birthday theme is her favourite characters, Winx Club and Disney Princess. Everyone enjoyed themselves with the great food and games. There are musical chairs, blindfold games and the last, is the pull string pinata. The children gets so excited when the contents falls out from the pinata and each of them goes home with a bag full of chocolates and sweets.

Again, Daddy & Mummy wanted to bring me to East Coast for cycling but it starts to pour when we reached there. December weather is such unpredictable. It was shine and bright when we leave our house. We stayed at McDonald's for some snacks and drinks hoping that the rain will stopped very soon. But after half an hour, the rain still continues so Mummy suggested that we go to Polliwogs for the indoor playground. We make our way to Polliwogs using one umbrella. By then, Daddy's clothes is drenched so Mummy has to accompany me in the playground.

Barney's Show @ United Square

Mummy was reading the newspaper some days ago and saw that Barney is having a show at United Square. As today will be the last day for Barney show, we rush down to United Square after my nap and reached there half an hour before the showtime. But the shopping center is already crowded with parents and kids. We are lucky and we able to find a good spot from the 2nd floor. It was indeed a good show which not to be missed.

School Shoes

After finding for weeks, Mummy has finally found a pair of school shoes with my size. Mummy was reading the parents' handbook a few weeks back and noted that there is a rule stated: "All students are encouraged to wear white canvas rubber-soled shoes." Mummy was puzzled and shocked to see that rule in the handbook as she thinks that wearing of school shoes is only starts in primary school. Mummy has been hunting for the pair of school shoes at a few department shoes and finally got it from those neighbourhood shops.

December is a busy month which both of my grandmums' and Mummy's birthday falls in. We have a early celebration for NaiNai and we went to Dempsey Hill Jumbo for dinner. While waiting for Uncle Dave to arrive, Mummy snapped a few photos of me. I also enjoyed looking at those tanks of live seafood in the restaurant.

Photos with NaiNai and Uncle Dave and also photos of those delicious dishes have been deleted by me and left only these 4 photos in Mummy's camera. I have get scolding from Mummy and she has forbid me to play the camera again.

PoPo's Birthday Dinner @ Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant

It was a early celebration for PoPo's 57th birthday and we went to Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant which was located at Level 60 of UOB Plaza 1 for dinner. From the top of the building, we enjoyed our dinner with a magnificent view of the city. Mummy also took a few photos of the beautiful city. After dinner, we have a stroll along the Singapore River before proceed home.

Pokemon Show @ Parkway Parade

As we need to shop for a birthday gift for PoPo, Mummy suggested that we go to Parkway Parade for dinner and also groceries shopping at the newly-renovated NTUC Finest. As it was about 7pm when we reached there, we note that there is a Pokemon show and we stayed to watch the performance before going for our dinner.

Zoo Outing

Another round of outing to zoo again. This time, we asked PoPo to come along. The weather was still bright and sunny when we left our house. But when we reached the Zoo, it started to pour. We stayed indoor for about 20mins until the rain stop. Lucky Daddy rented a wagon to push me around otherwise, he and Mummy have to take turn to carry me.

Mummy thinks that this outing is a fruitful one. I'm able to name the animals and also asked questions about the animals, making the trip an enjoyable one. As it was about lunch time, we make our way to the Ah Meng Restaurant. We also went to the Rainforest Kidzworld but Mummy did not bring my swimming costume along. I'm still enjoyed myself feeding the small animals and taking Carousel. Hope that my next trip to Zoo, the weather will be a sunny one.

Sesame Street Show @ Compasspoint

As there is a Sesame Street show @ Compasspoint, Daddy suggested that we go there for the show and dinner. When we reached there about 6.30pm, the shopping mall was so crowded but we managed to get a good spot from the 2nd floor. After the show, we went for our dinner. Trip to Kuala Lumpur (Day 2)

After a 3-hour journey from Malacca to KL, we checked in to Berjaya Times Square Hotel at about 5.30pm (thanks to the rain). Due to some miscommunication with the Hotel Manager, our room has been upgraded to their club room which was bigger and also unblocked. It was so big that Mummy and I were playing hide-and-seek in the room. After settling down, we went to the shopping mall for our dinner.

The next day, we have our breakfast at the Big Apple Restaurant before proceed to the KLCC Aquaria. As the Aquaria will only be open in an hour time, we went to shop around the shopping mall. As our coach back to Singapore is at 3pm, we have our lunch at KLCC and some last minute shopping before proceed back to hotel.

Trip to Malacca (Day 1)

Knowing that we are departing to Malacca today, I woke up as early as 7am. After dressing up, we took a cab to Golden Mile Complex as we are taking a coach to Malacca.

After the 4-hours journey, we finally reached Malacca. We checked into Mahkota Hotel which Daddy & Mummy were totally disappointed. It will be our first and also our last time staying at this hotel. After settling down, we went for our teabreak and do some shopping around the area. We also went to Joker Street to try their famous chicken rice ball.

eXplorerkid With Kelly

Since Mummy has a-week break from work, she decided to bring me to eXplorerkid. As they are having a promotion which member pays only S$4 for entrance, so Mummy also asked Auntie Kris to bring Kelly along. As Daddy needs to rush back to office, Auntie Kris suggested that she came and fetch us.

We had our lunch at Street Cafe before proceed to eXplorerkid. We played around the Lit Ball Pool and also the Toddler Play Area. As the MegaPlay is crowded with older children, Kelly and I stayed around the 1st level. I also even tried to climb up the Cliff. Although is tired, I still enjoyed myself very much. Just before leaving the eXplorer, Kelly and I give each another a hug. Hope Mummy have more free time and could bring me to such playground again.

Uncle Dave has suggested to have seafood for dinner and in the end, we end up at Turf City's Ah Yat Seafood Restaurant after calling few restaurants like the Jumbo and Long Beach which are fully booked.

As Uncle Dave has craving for crabs, we have to choose the crabs from the Unique Seafood Market which has dozens of seafood tanks. Daddy and Uncle Dave had a hard time choosing the crabs. Mummy also takes this opportunity to teach me the difference type of seafoods.

Euan's 1st Birthday Bash

Change of School

Mummy has received a phonecall this morning and it was from Paya Lebar Methodist Church Covenant Kindergarten. The staff informed Mummy that there will have another morning session for the pre-nursery for next year and asked if Mummy is interested to enroll me for that session. Mummy agreed, without any hesitation, although we have made deposit at Living Sanctuary Kindergarten. Mummy still prefers Living Sanctuary Kindergarten but I will be in their afternoon session as their morning session is fully booked and she thinks that it will clash with my lunch and nap time. Although PLMC is not in our list, but they are the only kindergarten left with morning session. Mummy has marked down in her diary the next registration date in 2010 for the nursery intake in Living Sanctuary Kindergarten, hopefully can get into this school in 2011.

Peek-A-Boo & "Fake" Barney

Mummy signed up for me a workshop at Peek-A-Boo when she was @ Leisure Park having lunch with her colleagues a few weeks ago.

I wake up about 9.30am and after breakfast and bath, we headed to Leisure Park. Daddy had a hard time finding the carpark lot. It was so crowded and we almost waited for 20 minutes for the lot. But luckily, we managed to reach the Peek-A-Boo on time.

It started off with the art and craft session where I DIY the shaker. I'm enjoying the peeling and pasting of the stickers onto the bottle and also pouring the beans into the bottle. When most of the kids are done with the shaker, is time for the appearance of the Barney. Most of the people was quite disappointed to see the "fake" Barney, but I'm still enjoying hugging and taking photos with him.

After the workshop, we have our lunch at the food court and we shopped around the mall before heading home.

Stay @ Intercontinental Hotel

It was Daddy & Mummy's 5th wedding anniversary and we are going to stay @ Intercontinental Hotel for 2 nights. After sending our domestic helper JieJie Flor to PoPo's house, we headed to the hotel.

GuGu Dave and JieJie Jermaine also drop by and pay us a visit and together, we went down to the Bugis Junction for our afternoon tea. After the rain stopped, we proceed to go for a dip in the swimming pool. GuGu Dave and JieJie Jermaine also joined us too.

My 1st Dental Checkup

Today is my 1st visit to the dentist. Mummy has booked this appointment for me about 3 weeks ago with School Dental Centre.

As usual, our temperature and particulars are taken and waited for about 15 minutes, is my turn to see the dentist. As this is my 1st visit, I'm seems like not co-operating. I refused to lie down and wants Mummy to accompany me. In the end, Mummy has to lie down together with me, with me lying on top of her chest.

Puzzles & Card Matching Game

Before I goes to bed, I will play these games first, the puzzles and the alphabets matching game. I will mix up the 52 cards together and tried to find the matching upper and lower alphabets from the mess.

I'm 27 Months Old

At 27 months old, I'm able to recognise the 26 A to Z letters (both upper and lower case), numbers 1 to 20 (only number 11 which I say one one), some colours (red, yellow, blue, purple, white, green) and some shapes (heart, circle, square, triangle, star), like to play the 6pcs to 9pcs animals puzzles and card matching games. I also like to recite the things/animals/food which starts from A to Z (not all I know) and it goes like this:

A for Apple, Aeroplane;

B for Bee, Ball, Nana (for Banana);
C for Cat;
D for Dog, Duck;
E for Elephant, Egg;
F for Frog, Fish;
G for Goat;
H for Hat, Horse, Hand;

Daddy & Mummy decided to bring me to the newly-opened shopping mall in town, the ION. We shopped around the shopping mall but there are still have a few stores which are not opened yet. After shopping for 3 hours, we went to have our dinner @ Wheelock Place and also proceed to Paragon level 5 thereafter.

Koi Garden

Daddy & Mummy brought me to Suntec City Koi Garden again. As Mummy knows I'm enjoyed feeding the fishes, she will always bought a pack of fish food from the store. After feeding the fishes, we shopped around the malls and also went to the new playground at Marina Square. We have our dinner at Pastamania before proceed to PoPo's house.

Jelly Hearts

Cable Car Ride Again

Another cable car ride together with Uncle Weiqing & Auntie Shirley. We went to JewelBox and took a few photos there. Mummy also bought a pack of fish food from the cashier and I do the feeding.

Morning exercise @ eX plorerkid @ Downtown East. This is my 1st time to this indoor playground. Mummy also signed up the membership for me which it will last me till I'm 12 years old. Hopefully by then, eXplorerkid will be still around. HAHAHA

KorKor Jabian is celebrating his 5th birthday @ PoPo's house. Theme is Aeroplane. There is bbq, buffet and also cake from eCreative. It's also my first time trying marshmallow and I loves it.

Mummy went to Bishan after work and has made this name stickers for me. It has the pictures of the Disney Princesses. She has also bought a pack of 6 panties for me during her lunchtime. I will be wearing these at home instead of pull-ups.

My Curly Brown Hair

While watching the Dora DVD, Mummy could not resist and took photos of my hair!!! Many people has praised that I have very nice curls and told Mummy not to cut my hair. But sometimes, when I refused to tie them up, it could be very messy.

Night Out With Uncle Weiqing & Auntie Shirley

As our plan to East Coast beach is unsuccessful due to the long traffic jam at the entrance of the East Coast road, Daddy decided to meet Uncle Weiqing & Auntie Shirley @ Parkway Parade instead. We had our dinner @ Ichiban Sushi which we queued for almost half an hour for our seats. After the dinner, we shopped around the shopping mall until the closing time. We also went to McDonalds to have drinks before proceed home. Below are the two photos that I took for Mummy & Auntie Shirley when we are at McDonalds. (Hmmm, how is my skills, not bad right?)

Goat's Milk Tablets

While shopping at Thomson Plaza, we passed by a pharmacy selling the goat's milk products. The promoter offered me the goat's milk tables and I loves it so much that I keep asking for more. Mummy also tried the tables and she also loves it. As there is a ongoing promotion, Mummy snapped up 2 bottles with difference flavour.

Outing With GuGu Dave & JieJie Jermaine

Fun out with GuGu Dave and JieJie Jermaine during the June school holiday. GuGu Dave wants to bring JieJie Jermaine to Escape Theme Park so we tagged along. It was such a hot weather that we left the theme park after playing for an hour. We shopped around Downturn East before proceed to Thomson Plaza to have our dinner.

Such a good weather, Daddy & Mummy decided to bring me to the zoo. We have our breakfast at Hougang Point McDonalds before proceed to our destination. Mummy has brought along my swimming costume as I'm going for a dip at their newly opened Rainforest Kidzworld. Ok, let the photos do the talking. You can see how we enjoyed ourselves at the Zoo.
